I am a professional dog trainer and applied canine behaviorist with close to a decade of experience working with aggressive dogs and their owners. I am also a specialist presenter for Australia’s only nationally recognized, government accredited course in dog training; the Certificate III in Dog Behavior and Training, run by the National Dog Trainers Federation (Australia).

I consider Hector’s dog bite prevention material to be of high value to any person that requires a clear understanding of why dogs bite, and why people get bitten by dogs. Hector’s ability to use layman’s terms makes his material accessible to people from all walks of life, and is refreshingly practical and simple to put to immediate use.

To date I have yet to find a better presented systemic approach towards dog bite prevention for the community and industry, and I feel that Hector has every reason to feel very proud of the body of work he has achieved.

Thank you for your support both professionally and personally Hector.

Sincerely, Brad Griggs, Canine Services International, Australia.

Mr. Hernandez, your video possibly saved one of my employees' life. I run a meter reading contract and our safety coordinator found your video. I had all my readers watch it. About two weeks ago I had a meter reader walk around the corner of a house with no fence who was ambushed by a pit bull. She remembered not to jerk her arm away and because the pit bull jumped her and knocked her to the ground she had the presence of mind to keep her arm close to her body, get on top of the dog and use her free hand to grab the dog's windpipe and squeeze. The owner was only able to pry the dog off of her and free her arm when the dog finally gasped for air.

I thank you very much for providing that video free of charge. I'm sure you've helped save several lives by providing that video that way. My reader ended up with a bruise on her left ribcage and a fairly serious bite on her right arm that required twelve stitches to close. It could have been much worse if she had not remembered her training.

The Speaker that we had on Wednesday Hector Hernandez was very knowledgeable and very well versed in what he talks about. He has the gift for making people enjoy what they're listening to and that tends to make people want to ask questions and not feel uncomfortable. When I get a chance I am going to sit down with my supervisors and show them   First Class Dog Training   web site and maybe have Hector come speak for my department. I have referred him to several other departments. I believe he has a lot to offer and everyone will benefit from his training methods. I hope you will have him speak again for CAACO.

This was great training. I have never had anything like this for training. NOW, I understand better what is going through a dogs mind and what they are doing.

The Flint conference on Tuesday was covered by Channel 12, Channel 25 and the Flint Journal. TV coverage was extensive and emphasized responsible pet ownership and self-defense. Training Demonstrations by Hector Hernandez were very well received by the reporters and footage was featured in the newscasts. The carriers who participated were excellent and compelling. The Flint Police had committed to attend and did not show up, but it didn't negatively impact the event.

The Detroit area conference on Wednesday was covered extensively on the day before the conference and on the day of the conference. Our hook to capture media attention was the fact that delivery has been suspended in the College Park neighborhood of Detroit because of loose dogs, and we held the event at the College Park Branch. However, the messaging of the stories did not dwell extensively on the mail situation - we were very successful in communicating responsible pet ownership and self defense. Again, Hector Hernandez was a big hit with the news stations. We had representatives from Oakland County Animal Control and the Michigan Humane Society (located in Southfield) address dog issues in the suburbs. Three carriers from our district participated, and they did a great job. We saw numerous placements on all three networks and had significant stories in the Detroit News and the Free Press. Our story was also picked up by networks in Chicago, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids and we got another run of coverage in the Flint market.

According to preliminary reports, the message reached millions of people. I'll be sending a token of appreciation to the carriers that so unselfishly shared their time and their stories to help others. Thanks to everyone for their support, these events will contribute to the safety of our employees and our communities.
